Custom Patterned Silk Screened Glass:
Pattern can be developed from virtually any arrangement of geometric shapes or textures Custom patterns can provide unlimited design possibilities. However each custom pattern must be evaluated for final acceptance. Each different color requires a separate pass through the screening process and may require a separate frit and thus incurring greater costs.

The procedure for custom patterned glass usually takes 10 weeks or more depending on approval speed and artwork difficulty. Therefore, unless completed well in advance of glass ordering date, artwork preparation and approval times must beaded to normal glass delivery schedules. Development costs include artwork, photography, screen and glass mockup costs. Unless Gold Plus has a firm order for the glass on the project, these development costs are charged directly to the building owner or requester.

Cost Implications on Size and Thickness:
As screen-printing incurs per unit costs and size change costs, it is advisable to have a minimum area of 200sqm and to limit the number of different sizes; Patterned shape such as triangles and trapeziums will greatly increase the costs. However the difference in costs between 3mm and 12mm glass thickness is not very high.

Color Tolerances:
Color differences may be apparent between initial samples supplies. This is due to unavoidable tolerances in substrate glass, differences in glass thickness and pigment differences in production. These differences are not and cannot be claimed to be defects.
